As reported last month, that Chocolate City boss, Audu Maikori hinted about his plan to step down as the CEO of the label to give space to a younger mind to run the company, Maikori has made it happen as he finally bowed out of the record label.
The news was confirmed by Chocolate City Group, saying that Maikori has stepped down after 10 years of piloting the affairs of the label. And now, fellow label mate and rapper who also doubled as the Vice President of the label, M.I, now holds the mantle as the new CEO.

In a number of tweets on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, Audu made it known that he is stepping down as CEO of Chocolate City with immediate effect while becoming the President of Chocolate City Group.

In Audu’s place, M.I who was Vice President of Choc City, becomes the new CEO while fellow rapper and label mate, Ice Prince becomes Vice President. In the same vein, Chocolate City rapper, Jesse Jagz took out time to send congratulatory messages to his label mates, M.I Abaga and Ice Prince following their new appointments as CEO and Vice President of Chocolate City Music respectively. The talented rapper, lyricist and producer took to Twitter to give a shout out to the two, referring to each as his ‘brother and friend’.
