It was all joy and dancing yesterday, 5th Sept 2015, as Amokpo Nike Autonomous community in Enugu East Local Gov't celebrated the New Yam Festival.
The festival whose celebration starts from the previous night with masquerade parade and dancing is reffered to as the the most anticipated and joyous event of every year...
The event did not lack entertainment as both the young and old were full participants of the event, crowded with dancers of all age and divers calling, they all chanted common songs and danced around the village square... Eddysaid Blog team was there live to witness and bring you the event photos and videos as it went down yesterday...
Culture i must say is everything and will never be forgotten or disposed by communities as culture loving and concious as Amokpo Nike Autonomous Community...
